Create a new Guide
Go to the Dashboard.
Press the New button.
You'll see the following screen.
You need to enter the guide name, which should consist of letters, digits, '-' and ''. Guide names are globally unique amongst all Cilogi guides. The Check Availability_ button will tell you if your name is already taken or not.
It doesn't matter if you use a long name as visitors won't use it or see it. The guide we'll be creating in these tutorial is called cilogi-sample. You will have to choose a different name, as the name must be unique among all guides.
You also need to fill in the guide title, which is a one line description of the guide. Suitable titles might be: The Tower of London, The National Gallery, or in our case _Cilogi Sample__. You can use any characters you like for the name.
At this time only the
Online Guide Source is available. The online source is the one we're using, where you create the guide via the Cilogi web site.
Once you're happy with the name and title hit the Create Guide button. If you change your mind about the and/or title later you can, as we'll see, change things later on by saving your data, deleting the guide and importing the data into a new guide.
In the next tutorial we'll create a Home Page, and build our guide for the first time.
